As a member of the Poweshiek Leadership Program, Mallery Atkins, our Sales and Marketing Representative in our Grinnell/ Pella franchise location, recently had the opportunity to tour the Iowa State Capitol Building in Des Moines.

During this visit, Mallery and the rest of the Poweshiek Leadership Program took part in a mock House debate on current topics, discussed the district mapping process, and took a tour of the Capitol building itself.

Our Ottumwa’s Sales and Marketing Representative Jesse Pedrick, pictured on the right, had a fantastic opportunity to participate in the Mutual Insurance Association of Iowa’s Conference. During this conference, he worked alongside Des Moines SMR Nick Vivone, on the left, to speak with managers and agents to establish a relationship with this group. During this event, our team talked about our Emergency Ready Program and the services that SERVPRO provides.

To build relationships means we understand the expectations that insurance adjusters need to close the claim for the client. For example, the technology we use, Matterport, allows the adjuster to take a step-to-step 3D view of the job site. This helps the adjuster understand what the site looked like before we went in and completed the job.

The Matterport camera allows for 360 degrees of photos, creating full floor plans. These 3D floor plans give a virtual reality experience, so it feels as though you are in the property. This is storytelling method lets people better access the source of the issue as well as assess damages.

Our team is IICRC trained and certified in water mitigation.  The first step in the process to restore the property is to remove the excess standing water.  We do this with extraction equipment. One of our most commonly used pieces of extraction equipment is a portable extractor.  This unit has high suction capability but also is very portable and can be moved around to different areas of the building easily.  The wand attachment is easy to use.  This tool of our industry is great and used mostly.
